Pop-Art is a design style inspired by popular culture and consumerism.

It emerged in the mid-20th century with a staggering degree of artist and viewer engagement with that which they were simultaneously calling out as ludicrous.

Characteristics

Characterized by vibrant colors and bold imagery, Pop-Art designs often incorporate iconic symbols, famous icons, and references from the world of advertising.
It is a fun design by embodying a certain irreverence. The satirical and ironic social commentary was something that also incorporated participation in. The design works to create visually striking and engaging spaces.
